I certainly probably wouldn't put as much effort into grooming, I think (minimal as it is already). I'm in a monogomous relationship and my lovely woman wouldn't likely lose interest if I were to, say, stop shaving and let a beard grow at whatever rate and in whatever direction it might without the intervention of a beard trimmer or mustache sissors. But even though I have no interest in pursuing another woman, I do like to see that they are attracted. I guess I figure that if they are, the one I care about must still be.
And I'm not sure I'd put so much thought into the way I eat either. Coincidentally, designing my eating choices in a way that naturally optimizes hormones also has some physique benefits. I would almost say that there is a feedback effect - the T increases my sex drive, and my sex drive encourages me to do things that directly and indirectly have a positive effect on my T levels.
Further, I think that testosterone drives the competition to be the alpha male. That's not to say that T makes me want to physically fight other males to prove dominance. But I do want to excel beyond my peers. I feel it most in the gym. I want to be stronger, lift more, lift better, and get bigger than the guy next to me. To a lesser extent, but still significant, I'm driven to succeed personally and professionally. Not just succeed. Excel. To someone who is driven so, mediocrity won't do.
So far, it seems that I'd be an unkemt, long-bearded, large gutted, libidoless, undriven slob of a human being were it not for the hormone to which my handle owes its creation.
Well, enough of that for now. Next I think I'll write a bit about the way I eat.
