Got a great compliment today...

I ran into Joanne, a former boss, earlier this evening while out getting something to eat. She was one of the first people besides my sister to suggest that I probably have a form of autism(Aspergers Syndrome). We shared a table, and after our meal we stood outside the restaurant for a few minutes chatting.
"You sure have changed Gary. You are poised, confident, and you actually got a smile out of that girl that waited on us. Im glad to see you have made an effort instead of excuses." That was one thing she used to say to everyone who ever used their shortcomings as a crutch. "You even shook my hand and looked me in the eye when you werent staring at my legs" she said, giving me a bad imitation of an evil glare. Hell I had never seen her legs before and she was wearing a dark blue dress and high heels.
She rarely gives compliments and was one of the most demanding people I ever worked for. Shes in her early 40's, with her brown hair always pulled up tightly into a bun. Her hairstyle and her plastic framed glasses give her a rather stern appearance. For such a small girl(shes only about 5'1") she can be intimidating but she never fired anyone and straightened out quite a few marginal employees.
Before we parted she gave me her personal email address and her cell phone #. "I don't do social networking" she told me before I could even ask. "And call anytime. Oh and stop being so damn formal ok? I am not your boss anymore. Walk me to my car?"
Before she got in her SUV I extended my hand. "Good seeing you again" She took me hand and glared at me. "What did I say about being so formal?" She pulled me toward her, gave me a hug, and hopped in her car. "Lets hang out sometime. Give me a call ok?"
And at that she was gone.

She is recently divorced and her older brother is a childhood friend of mine. Both of these things make her off limits sexually. Besides my dick has caused me enough problems lately.

I have little recollection of Joanne though from back then since her family moved to a different part of town when she was a toddler and I had did not have contact with her brother again until a few years ago when she mentioned at work what street she lived on when she was little. One question led to another and she said "Oh you are the same age as my brother" and then she told me his name.
I generally do not make a move an a recently divorced woman. Its just bad karma. Also when we first started working together at our first one one one meeting she said "Keep your dick in your pants."
Im not sure if that still applies
