Male circumcision has been preformed for thousands of years. I am circumcised and I can't tell you if a circumcised penis feels more pleasure during intercourse than a non circumcised penis but as far as I'm concerned I have no complaints. Some countries perform clitoral circumcision. I dont know the logic behind this. Is a circumcised clit pleasurable? If its not why do they even do this?

As far as I can remember, this is a barbaric process in which no anaesthetic is used and can not only remove the clitoral hood, but the clitoris itself as well as the inner and outer labia. It's official name is Female Genital Mutilation and I believe the practice is banned by the UN.

they do it because of tradition and as a way of controlling women and their sexuality. it's supposed to control a woman's sexual desire so she will be less likely to have sex before marriage. it has medical consequences that can last for life and makes childbirth dangerous for both the mother and the child. because there are so many complications and it is mostly practiced in places where there aren't a lot of medical resources it also causes a lot of deaths. it is an awful, awful practice and there is no real reason to do it apart from oppression and tradition. some of the reasons they give the girls to get it done is that it will "make their face look prettier" gross.

it definitely doesn't make sex more pleasurable. it takes away a lot of the pleasure women feel from sex and sometimes takes away all the pleasure entirely.

From everything that I know about it and it is not that much I know that it is done to control a woman and her feelings of orgasm and such and that after it is done that she is not getting anny pleasure from it at all.

So it would appear that clitoral circumcision is a form of control by males over women which ultimately makes intercourse less pleasurable and in some cases a total loss of pleasure for some women. It would seem that a vagina that has had this procedure done to them makes their vagina worthless as a erogenous zone of pleasure while engaged in sexual intercourse. It would seem that the objective of such a practice would be to make the woman's vagina only pleasurable to a man to dump their loads into. It seems like a one sided sexual relationship that favors only the male.

Women should be able to experience as much pleasure as a male during sex - IMO!!!

I don't know about everyone else but i can't get into fucking a girl unless we are both into fucking. My ex would hate it when i would wake up with some morning wood and I would start fucking her and she would just lay there trying to catch some more morning Zzzzzzzz's. That would make me go limp.

I agree with every post in here so far , it's a brutal & disgusting form of mutilation & torture that I wouldn't wish upon my most hated enemy .
It tends to happen in the least developed/modern countries where women are valued less than a decent goat by their families & who ever they are bought by .
To think that in this day-n-time this still goes on tears at my heart , as a husband , father , son , brother , & as a man , it violates every female protective instinct in me .

Yeah it's clearly mutilation, and male circumcision in these countries isn't much better, it's also done with no anaesthesia, and if often botched, etc. If female circumcision were performed in the same way as routine male circumcision is in the West with sterilised tools and anaesthetic it would still be wrong of course, which is why it's difficult to understand why anyone thinks it's acceptable to routinely circumcise male infants in that way.

it's not completely. i don't think male circumcision is necessary at all and i think it's stupid that it's widely practiced in a lot of areas, but it is not as barbaric as FGM. maybe if it was just regarding the clitoral hood, but a lot of the time it involves removing the clitoris and labia or rearranging it to close up the vagina. when they do these reconstructions girls have to have their legs tied together in order for the scar tissue to grow and cover the vagina. only a tiny hole is left for menstruating, and it is kept like that until the girl gets married and her husband or a doctor has to make the hole bigger so they can have sex.

plus circumcisions are usually done at an age where there is no way in hell that you will remember it enough to be traumatised by it, whereas FGM is usually done between 7-10 years of age so there is no doubt that these girls will be traumatised. plus the fact that the whole purpose is to control women makes it even more disturbing. plus these are often not done by skilled doctors in hospitals or sanitary places with the right materials.

they are both wrong in the sense that parents should not be able to have the choice to mutilate their children's genitals, and i don't endorse male circumcision at all and if i ever have a son i will not have it done, but it is not entirely comparable to a lot of types of FGM because of the purpose of why it is done and the extent of the damage which is done.

like any part of the body the foreskin needs to be washed regularly and if not smegma can build up but thats pretty rare and competely avoudable. its no excuse for butchering a mans genitals especially considering the foreskin serves and immunological role and increases the sexual pleasure (in general, not all men are the same) the penis glans is supposed to be an internal organ shielded by the foreskin. circumcision removes this protection and this often leads to developmental problems such as scarring,callouses and infection

It's not just middle-eastern countries that practice this torture, but it does seem to be countries that practice certain religions. To me it seems that the excuse is that it's ok to this because your god or holy man says it is.

Actually, I've only heard of this happening in African countries.
