it stinks to high heavens, stings like hell and doesn't give a smooth feeling. There is always a stubbly feeling left behind after as it only burns the hair off from the skin up.
I would stay as you are and trim, or get friendly with wax or a razor for a better result.

I'd heed the warnings on those creams and not go there, doesn't sound like it would be a good idea.

I'll admit it does burn a little if you get it anywhere REALLY sensitive but it isn't too bad. I find that gets rid of the majority of the forrest, particularly if I exfoliate immediately afterwards too. If there are any stragglers then I tend to get them with a razor, but that's really just neatening up and doesn't need to do so much work.
