I recently decided that I want make some major efforts in improving my appearance. My goal is to lose a few percentage points in body fat( I would like to be in the 10-14% range) and put on some muscle. I figured the best way to make sure I keep to my workout and diet routines is to be accountable to someone that's why I am posting here. I am hoping to have some people just keep an eye on me as I try to progress with this endeavor. Any advice, criticism or encouragement is appreciated so please don't hold back.
My diet right now is not too consistent I just avoid all of the obviously unhealthy food such as candy, soda, and anything fried. Once I am in a more stable situation I am going to try and stick to a vegan diet. This will help me lose the body fat easily but will present some challenges in putting on muscle due to the limited protein sources. I have done a little research and I just want to see how it works out.
For exercise I will be hitting the gym 5-6times a week. My schedule will be chest/back on Monday, Triceps/Biceps/Shoulders on Tuesday, and Legs/Abs on Wednesday, rinse and repeat until Saturday with a rest day on Sunday. I have been doing 4x10s for pretty much every exercise and I'll probably just continue that. Since I am in the Army I will also have to do a lot of cardio which I hate but I have to be able to crush all my soldiers on PT tests. My cardio will consist of 3-5 mile runs or sprint circuits 3-4 times a week.
I will be posting pics weekly to track my progress so make sure to check in and let me know if you think what I'm doing is working. I'm all open to changing some things up if they aren't.
