The best way, just only buy good stuff at the supermarket. If you do not have bags of crap food lying around...you can not reach over and eat them when you are feeling weak.
IF you are doing protein drinks, check the specific brand online! There was some recent testing of protein drinks that showed some had high levels of lead and cadmium in them...i.e. the opposite of "healthy" or "organic". lol

I dunno about snacking on fruits, veggies, kim chi, radishes and what not. I mean, if you really can do it, then ok....but I also know that sticking on an unrealistically difficult diet ends up not working and people end up eating even worse than if they stuck to a diet that required the same amount of discipline that people are able to muster.
I, personally, have 5-6 meals a day...4 small ones, one or two normal-sized, all a few hours apart. One is a granola bar (pnut butter n' chocolate chips), one yogurt, one sandwhich (turkey n' cheese or PBJ w/ crunchy peanut butter), a bowl of healthy cereal in the mornings, and then a dinner that's home-made, but not healthier than normal, and a bagel, egg, cheese and bacon sammich...and tons of water through out the day.
so my diet isn't as healthy as spud's would be, but you know what? It's reasonably healthy and nurtitious, and it's not too hard to adhere to on a daily basis, which means I don't break down and pig out on nasty crap....it's hard enough to be a good diet, but it's not too hard for me to follow through on.
What does my diet, along with my protein post work out shake and my gym regimen, yield as a result? Check out my pics. I'm happy with the results.

Fruit is not as much fun as a candy bar...but eventually you can trick your mind to like it almost as much.
