"Well, now," Peter says, "It's been a while since we've had a genuine cowboy show up. Before I decide whether or not to let you in, I need to ask, have you done anything honorable in your life? Anything that would make you worthy of coming in?"
The cowboy puts his hand in his pockets, and says, "Well, sir, I guess the time I defended this young lady's honor would count."
Peter folds his hand over his podium. "Oh? Tell me about that."
"Well, I was at this bar, minding my business, and I seen these biker guys harassing this young lady. Pawing at her clothes, making rude comments and all that. One of them grabs her and pushes her against the wall, and all I can think of is that he's got bad things on his mind. So I run up, pull her away from him, and give him the hardest punch I can muster, right in his gut. He goes down, and I see he's got one of them earrings in his ear, so I grab that and just tear it off of him. I see his biker buddies are standing up at this point, so I stand between them and that girl, ball up my fists and go, 'Anybody else want to have a go?'"
Peter is understandably impressed. He makes a note in his book, and the Gates open. "Well, sir," he says, "that is good enough for me. May I ask how long ago that was?"
The cowboy thinks for a moment. "Hmm...I'd say about...three minutes ago."
