I just squeeze them and pluck the hair out. Bugger stuffing about being all pedantic. I must be more prone to them because I get a few everytime I shave (when I couldn't be bothered waiting to wax).

Tip from Uncle Gregorio....
Instead see your family Doctor whom you can include this question, and any others including all questions you have about sex, with a physical...your probably due anyway. Get the blood test and urine profile. You will sleep better. If your Doctor thinks you need a derm because it's serious, he will let you know. Chances are, it isn't. Otherwise, if you just ask this one question, and it is nothing, you blown a wad in just 5 minutes.
In addition to this..... if you should come back here, the little white ugly pimple-like spots just under the head are probably the tiny little glands that secrete ill smelling "cheese" These little buggers can become quite active around puberty and can make you wonder. Another reason to wash and rinse well.

A cyst is very common. There's something called a BOIL too. The difference is that a cyst won't go away usually, and a boil is basically a big pimple that will go away. For those squimish, maybe stop reading here.
Most doctors tell us to never squeeze out acne. Squeezing a boil however, will make it go away eventually (Within a month). A cyst doesn't go away and the stuff inside stinks awfully. Sorry, but truth sux sometimes. I was treated for a cyst, and was told to squeeze it out ...I know but still, have it checked out okay?
I shave every day down there and have for 20+ years, and shaving does not cause it. You're safe, just get a doctor to get rid of it for you.
