I have always been curious about sex swings, and the curiosity has led me to almost buy one many times, but every time I'm about to, the logical side of my brain kicks in a stops me from spending the insane amount of money on a bunch of nylon straps.

Being as "handy" as I am it has led me to the idea that I should save my money and build one myself. What I was wondering is if there are plans online somewhere where I could save myself all the calculations and measuring time it. Also I would like to know what peoples experiences were like on them and the different types, ie bungee vs pure nylon strap.

My wife and I bought the universal stand plus swing & enjoyed it thoroughly. It in my opinion was worth the $400 we spent on it at the time. Obviously we had to put it away since we have made additions to our family size, but it was definitely alot of fun.

I'm not saying that the pleasure my partner and I would get out of the swing would not be worth the money, I'm saying that the materials cost for such a device would be relatively low compared to what it would cost to make one, thus I cannot justify buying one at such a price.

Nobody on this forum can contribute to this at all?

Can you afford to spend $170? You don't need the universal stand. You can anchor it into the ceiling.
