I don't know what he meant HELP

I'm in my early 20's and have a new boyfriend in his mid 20's. We are having great sex, really enjoy it.
He went away on a business trip just yesterday for about 2 weeks or so on. Two days before he left he asked me if I was going to wait for him. I'm not sure if he meant:not having sex with anyone or not breaking up with him. I asked him why he asked me that question and he said something like he believes 2 weeks is a long time.

Either that, or he was looking for an excuse to play while he's gone.

Actually he said something else to me after he asked me if I was sure I could wait. Something like he will look forward to.

Well we both actually had a few relationships before, good or less good.
The realationship we have now is mostly having sex, which is great and I don't mind. We also meet every 2 weeks only, because we live far away from each other and he's very busy. That's why when he asked me if I could wait for 2 weeks, it was weird since we see each other every 2 weeks. He didn't ask me that question before.
Before he asked me the question he sent me a message telling that he wants to meet me as soon as he comes back from his trip. Why would he would make plans about meeting me, but he wants to know if I can wait for him? This was weird too.

I am sure it wasn't a joke. He asked me twice and we talked about it a bit.
Because of his first question, it looks like he was worried about me not waiting for him and have sex with somebody else.
Thank you all.
