Wrong on all counts!
While there is a hiring freeze they are anticipating hiring next year as the economy recovers and older flight attendants retire. As for my record, as long as I have no felonies and im clear for the past ten years and drug free(I am) there shouldnt be a problem.
I would need to pass the physical and attend training in Atlanta. An older flight attendant(well one about my age joined us and she said a lot has changed since I left the business in 1991.
The airline im looking at operates flights for a larger airline. Typically short hops but the young lady said on that particular day she had been to Norfolk VA, Chicago, Memphis and then Atlanta, and she had to cut our conversation short to head to Boston.
Males are more common now in this field than they were 17 years ago. Shucks LOL.
I gave the older lady my name and email and as soon as they start hiring I will apply. I would take a cut in pay at first but in the long run it should be worth it.
