People in my State are Brave

Three people are in jail after an unusual drug bust in a Clermont home. Someone saw smoke drifting from the edges of the house Friday night, just beneath the roof.
At first, officers thought the building was on fire. Then, they went upstairs, through one of the childrens' bedrooms and found the meth lab.
Investigators found some of the chemicals in the stove on the front porch.
"We didn't notice anything abnormal, as far as the smell, or traffic coming in or out of the residence. It was a shock to us," Brian Whittemore with the Clermont Police Department said.
Police arrested Crystal Murphew, Michael Delong, and Randy Farris.
Officers took two little girls, six and seven years old, along with a 19 month old child, out of the house, and put them into protective custody.
"Every once in a while I would see the daughters in the yard, playing. I thought they were people who worked nights and slept during the day," neighbor Pam Poe said.
Neighbors were stunned when they saw police wearing protective masks, and bringing chemicals out of the house.
But the most surprising thing about the investigation was the address. The people who live in the house are accused of cooking meth right next door to the Clermont Police station.
"What a slap in the face. It's a bad situation that someone is cooking meth right next door to my police department, let alone in my town, but to have three children in the house," Whittemore said.
Police officers parked their cars facing the very house where they now suspect people were making meth over the last two months.
"Well, there's always a controversy here in Clermont about where are the police when you need them," clerk-treasurer Charles Horner said.
"It shocks me because those guys are in and out of here all the time and we talk to them. All the neighbors here, Diane next door, we all talk and get along great. If anything was going on, someone would have said something, you know," Poe said.
The three people Clermont Police arrested face preliminary of charges of making and possessing meth.
Police say they're still looking for a fourth adult who ran from the house when officers arrived Friday night.
