Don't know what your budget is or what you're looking for? The south part of the strip is the more modern area. They've just opened City Center which is the new/expensive resort. Then there's Mandalay bay that is a lot of fun. They have a "European bathing" pool as well. Actually that's kind of a new trend with several hotels offering topless areas. New York New York is a fun place moderately priced. It's right next to MGM and Planet Hollywood.
If you have an idea of what you're looking for I could be able to give you better information. There's no shortage of places to stay in Vegas.
