Not sure if this is the right forum (may be the Lounge).
Noticed a thread started by HH talking about receiving unwanted PMs and wondered if maybe we could see who doesn't mind being PM'd and (if so) how they liked to be PM'd. I take it from HH's thread that she's receiving a few PM's which are straight to the point - which may be cool for some.
So, in the name of better SF communications can you reply and say whether you'd like to be PM'd and if so, how a PMer should PM you?
To start, I've been PMed twice now and I've loved it - for me, I'm extremely open minded so just be straight to the point.
Just a thought.

PM is Private Messaging where one SF member can send a private message to another SF member.

For example, I received this a few days ago:
i think you are amazing. Please pm me back i am an attractive 19yr old from las vegas us. il send u pics of my face"
Not the way to go... On top of that he has never posted on SF and hasn't even logged in since he sent this PM, which is also the day he signed up here...
Oh, and the funny thing is, I've only posted pics of myself once here

After the exams I'm aiming for a higher profile, at least where posting frequency is concerned

More posts and more pics means getting noticed more, which means more likelihood of people seeing you as (an unwilling) cyber sex candidate...
Not that I post less to avoid getting noticed, but it's a "by-product" I'd say...

Where are earth did I imply that???? I just said it's logical that you get more of these PM's because you're more noticeable than me, never implied you deserved to get them

^ came off as a "cheap shot". If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong.

She doesn't post much and has a low pic count here at Sf.
I like PM's.
I am always excited to see what someone new has to say about anything. When I was new I PMed quite a few people and have made some wonderful contacts here at Sf. And some great friends too.
So PM if you like, I do not mind.
