I've been a member here for a while and need some help with some things
I'm pretty fresh out of a 5 year relationship and finally getting over her ( just kinda turned into friends)
Moving on... I have a date this weekend and I've been out if the dating loop for some time now
Were doing dinner and a movie
So should we hold hands? (if we like eachother)
Should I pick up the tab?
I'm sorta oldfasion I like to spoil my woman open doors pay for everything an so on
Anything else you can suggest I'd much appreciate it..
It's sort of a blind date

I'm a firm believer that if you should pick up the tab on the first date. Call me old fashioned, but it's perfectly wonderful when a man acts like a gentleman at least during the initial phases of a relationship.

Don't be hesitant and just go ahead with your gutt feelings, and let us know.

Aside from that, you just have to learn to read the signs. Being a guy puts you in the shitty position of having to balance between the creepy guy who moves to fast, or the clueless guy who isn't bold enough to move fast enough. If it feels right, go with it.
I'll always open a door if I get there first, but will also smile and thank her if she does it for me. It's going to depend on the personality of the women on how she wants that done. Best to play it safe and open them all.
Pick up tabs is a personal taste kind of thing. You should pay if you ask and offer to pay if she does. Don't be cheap, but don't let anyone use you for free meals. If they do take their ass for a value meal.
