I find it helpful to masturbate if I can't get to sleep though, have a nice orgasm and drift off to sleep

The first question is interesting, Zurya. I don't know how they could study that, but I'd be interested in seeing results. There would have to be women in the study who don't masturbate at all or who do it very little, women who masturbate about the average amount for women in general, and women who masturbate a ton and all the time and a lot more than "normal" or average. They'd have to maybe put them through a series of stress tests followed by surveys that ask the women to rate and/or describe various parts of their physical and emotional and mental states. The surveys could provide preliminary results that would show whether or not women who masturbate more feel less stressed during and following the stress tests. Obviously, it would need to be more complicated and scientific than what I just described.
As for the second question, I don't necessarily believe it's true that men can and/or do cope with more stress than women can/do - with or without masturbating and generally speaking. I think that coping with stress is more individual and varies from person to person regardless of gender and sexual habits. And there are different types of stress, so men and women might end up being able to deal with stress at a relatively equal level. For example, women (in general) may have a higher tolerance for physical pain than men have, so maybe women can endure physical stress on their bodies more easily than men can while men might be able to endure emotional pain more easily than women can. I don't think it's necessarily a matter of gender.
