Well, masturbation and having a fuck buddy are not mutually exclusive options:) You can try both, then compare and decide on further steps...
Personally, in my case, masturbation has never compared to having sex with a willing partner, so if I were you, I would not refuse the opportunity of having a Fuck Buddy - if he is suitable for it, e.g. no unwelcome emotional or other reactions, dangers and other possible complications.... But then again, I am not a woman, so my perspective can be influenced by this fact, so it is up to you how you decide.

well having a fuck buddy isnt always as easy as it seems, I had one for over 10 years, i've known him for 17 though, we had a great sex relationship and friendship but never wanted a relationship with each other, as we weren't ever going to make a good couple, both of us were in relationships usually but found sex too hard to resist. That was a brilliant one to have. Emotions can get in the way though, its very difficult to not form an attachment and its difficult to do sometimes as these things can happen when you don't expect it to.
