Well, they have good taste in pundits, and I'm glad they're so smart at their ages. You obviously have done a great job raising them!
I think we could all use a bump from Oprah from time to time, CBD - maybe Oprah could give me a job?

Did you know that "truthiness" is officially a word now? I thought that was hilarious.

I'm wondering how crowded the National Mall will be tomorrow. I'm expecting a few hundred thousand people to be there - if I can estimate attendance by looking at facebook and seeing how many people have RSVPed. There could very well be a lot more people there than I'm expecting. Either way, I'm sure it'll be nothing like the crowd when Obama was inaugurated. I was in D.C. for that as well, and it was N-U-T-S, believe me!!! I'm really looking forward to the Rally, and I'm sure it'll be a good time.

The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear was excellent though. I promise I will blog! With pictures, if possible.

1: A picture of the National Mall and the crowd gathering. The orange sign says, "UNITED IN SANITY."
2: A picture of the crowd - larger now - with the Capitol way in the background. The sky appears cloudy and overcast, but it was actually a crisp, sunny day.
3: A picture of the crowd while Mr._C. and I were standing in the middle of it. The sign says, "It only ends once. Anything before is progress."
4: A picture of the crowd and some signs. The one to the left of middle says, "YOU MAY HAVE A POINT," and the one to the right of middle says, "Oh, America... *facepalm*."
5: A picture of the crowd in front of one of the Jumbotrons.
6: A picture of a man holding a white sign that says, "70-80% of California teachers have s*$* to do but we came anyway!" That sign was especially funny for me since I am a former teacher.
7: A picture of somebody dressed as a Stormtrooper. For Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive, he invited the crowd to come dressed in their scary Halloween costumes.
8: A picture of the floor at the bottom of the set of escalators that lead in and out of a Metro station in the city. The left half of the sign says, "Fox [the news organization] keeps fear alive," and the right side of the sign says, "Restore sanity - Fight Fox." The signs had been put there because of the Rally being held in the city on Saturday, and they advertised two Web sites - this one (left side) and this one (right side).
Hope you enjoyed!
