I was depressed and had horrible panic attacks! They put me on med after med after med. They all had a arms length list of side effects, and worse! The meds caused me all kinds of issues, and on many occasions the doctor would prescribe another med to counter the first med. It was terrible and with these side effects and more meds it made me more depressed! Jesus get me off this roller coaster!
Anyway....What really got me is they never seem to try and find the cause of the problem they just end up treating the symptoms. Even cholesterol meds cause fatigue, anxiety and liver problems.
So take control and fix what you can...I read lots of books and studied alternatives to prescriptions....they are out there! Take vitamins (this time of year especially D3) I took control of my thoughts too. I looked at what it was I was feeling bad about and fixed it.
I am now 100% prescription FREE. I exercise regular, I eat what is good for me. I meditate. I read and create a positive environment around me. Oh and I am not done there, I am still studying finding more ways to heal mentally, physically, spiritually, and sexually!
Think about this....In your eastern cultures depression and anxiety barely exist, they live longer and healthier lives than here in the US. Their methods of healing, art of meditation and recipes for vitality go back thousands of years! Study their paths and learn from their successes. Face it there is something to be said about these cultures, and if we embrace it more here in the US we will be much better, stronger and healthier people!
