Is it me, or is music in 2010 just rehases of the last century?

Perhaps I'm getting old, older.

I don't know what it is but with so much music available now it all seems musical goo, no distinct style.

Quantity over quality? Bands have the shelf life of a firefly too, if the record company dosent get a return your dropped.

I find myself listening more to hip hop than rock these days, there just seems more going on, perhaps I'm 'rocked out'.

Well whatever it is, it's really all about bottomline, artistic credability lags a poor second.

And now anybody can be a star, thanks to all those talent shows on TV.

Has music dumbed down, or is it an evolution and making music more democratic is a good thing?

Heck you can do music in your bedroom or sitting on the subway, with a laptop and a pair of headphones, no need for an expensive recording studio either.

I guess i'm waiting for something to rock my world musically like the punk explosion did, rose tinted hindsight?

 I dunno, but there was energy then, I think the Internet makes people fat, lazy at times.

Yeah sit at a screen or play your gaming machines but don't take to the streets and protest, form a Facebook group, huh?

But I digress, heard any good tunes today?

I have but I didn't get the artists name, now that is annoying, lol!
