Well, after being off of work for 4 straight days, I've not grown all that tired of just laying around the house. I have been working on my paper that I have due Thursday, I also need to work on the presentation itself, but I'll work on that after I get the paper finished, which actually, it's about half finished as it is.
My little vacation has had some pretty good ups and one really steep down. Thursday we went to my aunt's for Thanksgiving down in Spencer, which is ok. I took my laptop, iPod, gameboy, and a couple of books so I was able to keep busy. Finished off one of the books, so there's one more book in that cycle to finish. All in all, it was pretty fun, was rather bored until the football games started. I was really hoping that the Cowboys would lost, I ABSOLUTELY hate the Cowboys, especially that fucker T.O. jeez, he's so damned annoying and thinks he's better than what he really is.
Anyway journal, that's getting away from things...
Friday was pretty good. Mom, Dad, and Stacey went out and did some X-Mas shopping. I didn't go because I've been working on X-mas since August so I only have to get something for dad, some PSP games for Stacey, and an iPod case for mom. I did get to see Stacey some and she give me a DaVinci Code puzzle which was cool, she also let me play her PSP which is way cool, wouldn't mind having one of those myself.
Now Saturday is where the shit got really bad. Dad came in my room in the morning and I could tell something was wrong, he just had that blank and vacant look in his eyes. After I asked him, he finally told me. It turns out that my, I believe great-grandmother who is 98 years old is about to pass away. She has alzheimer's and the nursing home she's in put her on morphine to help manage pain and such. She hasn't eaten or drank anything in well, today it'll be a week. The doctor's said that usually when they go on the morphine like that, they only last about 5 days. I must say that she is a fighter if nothing else. I did end up going, but I couldn't step foot into her room. I was just steadily crying my eyes out, I couldn't stand to see her like that.
Anyway, I'm hoping that no one who reads this thinks ill of me, but I'm hoping that she passes soon. I can't stand the fact that she's suffering like that. I just hope that by the time I'm her age, they have better treatments for alzheimer's because I don't want to put my children through all of that.
After that I got to see Vicki and she did make me feel better. And of course we had sex, the last time that we had sex was Tuesday before Thanksgiving Vacation so we were very eager. We had lots of fun. Afterwards we went and put gas in her car, got some lunch, and then we went and got some tape for X-mas presents. After Vicki dropped me off and headed for work, I worked on my paper for a so that it's pretty much where it is right now.
After I worked on that, I get to work wrapping presents like I've done the day after "Black Friday" for the last couple of years. It took me about 3 hours to wrap everyone's presents. Vicki's took the longest since she has 6 things. I also had to open one of her presents to make sure that it'd work, which I'm glad to say that it did.
So, as you can see journal, I haven't really done all that much and don't plan on doing all that much today. Until next time...
