As for the term "morning sickness", although it is worse during the morning hours, it can happen at any time of the day and can last anywhere from six weeks into the pregnancy all the way into the 14th week. Although some women have had morning sickness as early as four weeks.
There's nothing to make it completely go away, but there are things a pregnant woman could do that might possibly lessen the effects of it, such as taking ginger (whether in pill form or by drinking ginger tea), eating saltine crackers, and eating 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day. However, if it gets worse, or she becomes dehydrated or malnourished due to the morning sickness, she should see her doctor for treatment.
Hope that answers your questions!
