i believe so in most cases. people speak bout bein authentic in their convictions. theres a tactful way of voicin ya opinion while bein wise anuff to realize not everyone will share ya point of view.
im not sure the context here. i have kept quiet if i know bein honest mite hurt someone i care bout and that mattered more to me than sayin how i really felt. i lean towards if ya have nuttin nice to say, dont say it at all if its purely mean-spirited. i dont see the point of bein blunt for the sake of bein blunt if there is no value, specially if no one asked ya to voice up.
i agree with the post above, there are situations where silence is the only weapon to keep the peace.

I always will be honest, and well some people don't like honesty for everything So therefor I will never really speak my opinion on certain things unless I am asked for it.
It's best to not start problems over (mostly) small potatoes.
I also agree that there are certain situations that need a different approach, and I've been in those too. They ain't always pretty, but it has to happen.

I don't care for your opinion! I really don't... ... well, just a little, perhaps... you
weren't serious, were you??? Hum? Hum???... Say something... you don't love me
anymore????... Be honest. Com on...
