Always been curious and want to do something about it

I've always been curious about being with a guy - specifically giving a blowjob (though I do enjoy anal play and wouldn't be against trying that!).
I have only ever been with girls and never a guy. I am definitely more attracted to women and could never see myself as having a full relationship with a man, nor kissing him.
Problem is, I can never get the courage to take the next step to actually meeting up and trying it. No matter how much the thought of it turns me on, I seem to think about it and bottle it.
I'm only 25 so I know theres still many years ahead of me!
I'm sure there's loads of guys who have been in my position, so my question is, what did you do? How did you overcome it (if you ever did!)?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

As for overcoming apprehension, I will use 5-6 beers.

There are a lot of ways to meet men out there who would love to meet you. If you find a man who appeals to you - the physical is always the first attraction - make contact, via email or message, and be honest with him. If he's worth meeting and building a relationship with, he'll understand your situation and your shyness. Be up front with him about your shyness and reluctance, for lack of a better word, and ask him to help you through it. Let him take the lead - he'll enjoy guiding you.
