Need some ideas

So, my question is this:
What exercises do you think I could take up (aside from weights) to help me lose weight, that aren't overly taxing on my lower body. Bearing in mind that on a bad day walking just 100 metres can hurt my knees.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

As far as finding different exercises to tackle while keeping the joints stress free...... water excercises, stationary bike, any cable machine with light weight. The key to lose body fat percentage is to do CARDIO and DIET. Just remember.... you must maintain cardio exercises for at least 40 mins. NO BREAKS. If you take breaks in between sessions, you've basically nullified the previous minutes and must start over.....
Or you could just fuck 5 times a day.

Rowing and other machines can still put some strain on your joints in your lower body...so they're possibilities, but it depends on your arthritis...
Swimming, however, is a full body workout that not only works almost every conceivable muscle, but can be fantastic cardio and burns tons of calories when done for appreciable stints. This, in my opinion, is your best bet.
