About a month ago I woke up early one morning with an erection. This was no ordinary boner though. I could not pee it away. In fact I could not pee at all. And even if I could I would have to be an acrobat to aim at the toliet.
After an hour or so it would not go down and it was starting to hurt. So I decided a trip to the emergency room was in order. I put on an oversize shirt that hung down to my my mid thigh and bobbled out to my car.
My neighbor Mandi was leaving for work and asked me what was wrong. Even though we have had a sexual encounter I was reluctant to tell her what was going on. "Did you hurt yourself?" she kept asking. "Is it your testicles?"
I told her she was close.
"I have an erection that wont go away and it hurts." I finally told her.
She grabbed her cell phone and called her boss saying her neighbor was sick and she needed an emergency personal day. "Come on in for a minute. Lets see if there is anything we can do before we go to the hospital."
She called one of her sisters who is a nurse and she said it could be anything from a blood clot to a spinal nerve injury and at any rate I needed to go to the ER right away.
"Let me see" she said after she hung up.
I protested and she reminded me that she had seen it before. So down came the pants.
"Please do not touch it" I practically begged.
"Oh wow that must hurt honey" she said as she looked at it, grimacing. "Come on lets go".
She bodily lifted me into her SUV and I am still trying to figure out how at 90 pounds she was able to pick me up since I weigh about 200. She said she did not want me straining and increasing the blood flow down there.
At the hospital she got me into a wheelchair and they chwecked me in right away. They pit me on an IV and gave me a nice big "push" of a sedative, probably valium, and I drifted off into never never land. Mr. Happy got some rest too if you get my drift. Before I nodded off I told Mandi if she needed to go to work that was fine and that it would be several hours before I could go anyway. She lifted the sheet and said "looks like its going down hon. It doesn't look blue or anything so maybe it wasn't a clot. Although the head looks darker than I remember."
"Uhh Mandi.." I started to say. Then everything went blurry.
I woke up several hours later with a doctor at my side. He said he did not know what caused the priapism but since the sedatives brought it down it was probably CNS(central nervous system) related rather than a clot. I need to see a urologist at some point.
It was early afternoon when they let me go and Mandi drove me home and warned me not to drive until the next day. I was still pretty out of it from the meds and I had to piss every 15 minutes. So she put me on her couch and told me not to get up without waking her up first so she could be sure I did not fall. Neither one of us got any sleep that night and we both ended up taking the next day off from work.
It was nice to see her and hang out with her again since we had drifted apart over the past several months. I just wish the circumstances were different. Well at least we are talking again

I have to give Mandi credit. She is normally squeamish about medical stuff, but she persisted in asking me what was wrong and reacted quickly when I told her what was up(bad pun I know LOL) and even wanted to take a look. My two ex wives and most of the girlfriends ive had did not want anything to do with Mr. Happy except when we were having sex and ONLY when we were having sex.
She has done extensive research in priapism and no probably knows more about the subject than I do. Sedation is not one of the treatments mentioned but it what what they did and it worked. "I never knew the penis was that complex of an organ" she said in amazement. " I think I know more about penises than some men do."
The girl cracks me up LOL

On the plus side, it sounds like it helped get you and your friend talking again.
