Why are women ok with posting naked pics online but wouldn't ever strip in public?

i see tons of women online that are perfectly willing to show their entire bodies and videos of them having sex. Not that i mind at all
Just curious to why it is accepted online and not in the real world? I mean i have seen a few women i know do this, on other sites etc and they have no idea i have seen them but by noticing tattoos i have identified them and it was to my surprise.... i would have never thought these two girls would upload video and pics of themselves as they are very reserved in person and now its awkward around them.
Is it because you don't know the people online? but what if someone does find out its you that knows you? would that bother you?

if i knew that somebody i knew had been looking at my pictures when i used to post them, i probably would have stopped immediately.

My body is nothing to rave at; I'm not embarrassed, but I'm sure others would rather look at someone else. I would get naked in front of others, but for a reason besides arousal or titillation. I have been in plays where I had to make a quick change, and got undressed regardless of who was watching. That was because all that mattered was getting dressed and getting onstage on time.
'Self-conscious' is an accurate term for how most people feel about singing, acting or nudity. We are too conscious of ourselves to let go and enjoy the moment. "Oh no, I couldn't; they'll laugh at me, they'll point out my wobbly bits; they'll rate me on a scale from 1 to -20..."
This is why alcohol plays a major role in most uninhibited behavior. Drinking won't prompt you to do what you'd never dream of, but if the thought flashed across your mind and your more careful self vetoes the idea, alcohol locks your more careful self in the toilet...

If a friend or coworker had seen them... I'd be mortified. I mean, unless they wanted in on it
It's not so much feeling safe posting things online, it's more of the riskiness of it all I guess.
Plus it's worth it! I love posting pictures & getting responses to them and my guy doesn't mind showing off either!
