My son kept talking about this show and it never really caught my interest. After listening to him and reading reviews and seeing all my friends on FaceBook discuss this show I thought maybe i'd give it a go. My wife had was having an opperation a few weeks ago ( the friday before the new season began ) and I figured seeing as how my son owned the entire box set of DVD's that I would watch an episode or two and see what it was all about. Well 19 hours later, I loved it ! I could not watch enough lol. I powered through both seasons non-stop and got myself ready for the new season. Funny, my wife had the same reservations as I did, but after laying on the couch dozing on and off, she quickly became interested with watching it as well. Now we are both hooked on this new show, so much so that I will even pause Sunday Night FootBall as to catch the episode right away.....and nothing comes before football, which means i'm really really hooked on this show.
So who else loves this show ?

I think the "new" writers have been doing a kick-ass job. After season one, when the original writers were let go, many people doubted if the writing would be as good, and as a result the show itself. I think it has been—at the very least—as good. Last season was brilliant. I still have not quite recovered from witnessing little Sophia emerge from the barn!
This season, they really jumped right into things! After just what—three episdoes(?), I think it's been the most intense season yet.
Yes, I love it! I have asked for the first two seasons DVD sets for Christmas.
Very good writing indeed. The story just pulls you right in, again, agree, good writing. The characters are all pretty interesting as well. Really looking forward to this new season.
I know he was not everyones favorite, but I really like Shanes leadership......he was crazy, but knew what needed to be done. Funny how Rick now sees what Shane was thinking and why he thought the way he did.

Chelle, he has been dead since the end of season 2. Catch up sweetie! lol

I mentioned Sophia's emerging from the barn at the end of Season 2... and the trauma that represented to the group. Nobody could step-up and put "her" down.... but Rick did. He solidified his stature as the leader right then and there—the one who could do the tough jobs nobody else would or could—Shane included.
I do not doubt for a second that Shane would have put Sophie down.....I think Shane was testing Rick and thats why he didn't do it right away himself. Shane was badass and always put the groups safety first. I really wished he was still on the show...with Rick now thinking like Shane....world watch out ! Its just too bad that it took Rick a while to see the big picture. Now he appears to be cold and mindful of the situation, which is going to carry the group far. And I really do love Daryl being his new righthand man.....Love that hillbillie !
Its going to be interesting this weekend. Cannot wait to see how they deal with the sabatore and who the sabatore really is. Someone was watching Carol, and we know now that it was not Merle.

Really sorry Michelle, honest not intend on spoiling it for anyone. But...yea...bit....like Devea just mentioned, that happened last season. So if you're not caught up.....what the hell you waiting for ? Get watching girl.

Not sure if Chelle has a DVR but pretty much everything I watch is recorded and I view at my convenience. A lot of my shows have been "spoiled" by not watching right away. But... I do watch WD every Sunday night cause I simply can't wait to see what happens next. And I miss Shane too. Such a bad boy.

I was just kidding. I quit watching the show after season 1 I think. They are all on my DVR though. I may watch them someday.

I started watching when their were 4 episodes out for season 1, and after watching the first i quickly got my hands on all the others avaiable at the time, haha.
Been a fan since and own both season 1 and 2 on blu ray. Season 3 so far has been great, but the only thing I didn't get was that at the end of season 2, you already saw the prison near them, yet they spend the entire winter and then some more months in the surrounding enviroment and not once seen it? Maybe I didn't pay attention to the ending of S2 or beginning of S3, but that seemed silly to me.
Besides that, season 3 has been absolutely amazing so far in my opinion. I love the prison setting and I like the fact there are some in-mates still there. I couldn't help but laugh when they attacked zombies in prison style fashion I was sure that Hershel was going to die when he got bit, and I haaaaaaaated that thought, so very glad he's still alive and limping. I kinda saw him as another Dale, who I loved in the series.
The new addition of the Governor and his little city is interresting, it seems like some mad expirmenting is going on there and I can't wait to find out what the reason behind all of that is.
With the last episode being pretty damn emotional, I realised how much I am into the show. It's hard not to feel anything when you see all of that going down. I don't know what to expect next; did he shoot her or not.. I have a feeling he did not do it.. and could see him keeping his mom alive IF she turns.
Rick certainly seems to be losing it big time in the next episode, and I can't wait to see what's next!

Mr Pringles, I do get what you are saying about some things just not adding up, but I do my best to leave my inner Sheldon Cooper at bay while watching this show. This will get intersting for sure, I would not be suprised if Daryl doesn't run into his brother Merle while he runs into town for supplies.
What I do love about the show, it leaves you chomping at the bit for more. Cannot wait til next sunday night to find out more. I guess I got spoiled, when i started to watch the show I started with the complete season 1 & 2 on DVD. So I didn't have to get use to that dreaded week long wait....now I do lol.
