First, does this work? I've read reviews that have been absolutely glowing, and there are women who say that they have a terrible time trying to get the cup to seal so that it doesn't leak.
I'm curious about being able to have sex with a cup inside me. Can you really have sex while the cup is inserted? And it doesn't make a mess because of the jostling around?
I'm trying a disposable version of the Diva Cup called Softcup before I try the Diva Cup. Softcups are way less expensive for a package, but they are not meant to be washed and reused the way the Diva Cup is. If I like these Softcups, then I'm thinking of buying a Diva Cup to save money in the future (no more buying tampons or pads) and to reduce the amount of waste that comes with tampons and pads (the wrappers, the tampon casing, the backing on the sticky parts of a pad's wings, etc.). Plus, I'd love to be able to have less messy period sex. My period is due to start right about now, so I'm looking forward to seeing if the Softcups work.
Would love other women's opinions about this menstrual option.
