Frankly, I can give two shits about American football. It really is so adorable how they get all dressed up in the padding, helmets, and make up… But that is another mess for another day. What caught my attention is the fact that former Super Bowl champion Derrick Ward, and Miami Dolphins safety Don Jones expressed disapproval with the kiss ESPN aired on TV.
The Dolphins management ordered Ward to pay a fine, barring him from team activities and making him take a class because of his comments? What the fuck? Really? The last time I looked (and trust me it was recently) the Stars and Stipes were still flying and the Constitution was still intact.
Why is it if I say I’m proud to be white I’ll be labeled a racist bitch, but if I were gay, black and an immigrant I’d be awarded the key to the city? This pisses me off to no end really. You know what, if you can take a dick in the ass, well you can take a little heat about it and if you cant, well then cry a river, build a bridge and get the fuck over it. You know its really sad when someone cant express their feelings with out someone else getting their knickers in a wad, gay or other wise. I have nothing against gay marriage, they have as much right to enter into a fucked up situation and be as miserable as the rest of us.
America use to be the strongest most powerful country on the globe and now its getting hacked down at the knees by law suits and everyone afraid to say what they really think. I really had to laugh at the Duck Dynasty controversy, or even the whole Paula Dean issue. Whats said is said and if you don't like it, oh well. I applaud them to standing up for what they believe in not being a push over like all these other sheep. Were ignorant remarks made? Yeah probably. If people were this passionate about gay rights as they were our global debt problem or the US involvement in shit it shouldn't be, we wouldn't have any problems here or overseas to worry about.
Okay, off my soap box. Flame on, I cant wait to see what everyone else has to say about this. Mind you, I have a slightly twisted view of American politics as well, I'm an immigrant to America myself.
