Eyes Wide Shut

It's a movie that is so subjective, but it shocked me in a different way... that sex ritual was insane
What you thought about it?

very intense! I don't want to spoil you, even it's an old movie (1999), because it's really worth watching
but you can see just this scene in youtube if you search

We've been to events on the swinging scene and never seen anything as erotic as the Eyes Wide Shut orgy scenes.
It's one of the few examples I've ever seen where 'porn' is as good as (and even better) than live sex.

Now that I look back on the scenes I remember, I think it would be amazing if there were more equality in it OR if the females were there because they 100% wanted to be AND enjoyed every aspect of it.
On a personal level I've always wanted to be part of a sex club.

As for Kubrick, I'm a pretty big fan of some of his other movies. Two of my favorites are "Dr. Strangelove" and "Full Metal Jacket" but if you watch all of his movies and I've seen them all, he is quite obsessed with sex and every movie has sexual undertones and phallic imagery in them. It is kind of his trademark. The idea of "Eyes Wide Shut" was okay, the execution didn't work for me.
PS. I also agree about the inequality of it that was commented on. This seems to be another of Stanley Kubrick's trademarks. He tends to portray women as weak and subservient in a lot of case which I don't care for.
