No more babies, sure. But now sex will be a lot more free. If you're only sleeping with your husband (no open relationships) then you don't have to spend money on birth control. You can be free and feel absolutely EVERYTHING with no worries. I hear some guys say their wives or female friends got even more randy, sexy and fun once that stage hit now that they didn't have to worry for unwanted pregnancies.
Do you have kids currently? If so, don't think you have to say goodbye to babies forever. Eventually your kids may have them, and you'll have grand-babies. The joy of babies with the same extreme hassles a parent would have 0 for example, if the kids start to get to be too much, you can send them home, or leave and go home lol. My mother can no longer have kids due to the hysterectomy in her 30s. She's fine, but sometimes wishes she'd had more kids. But now my brother is expecting his 1st child, and my mother is extremely excited for her 1st grandchild. She's gotten impatient because she feels the baby is ready to come out, but is just being stubborn now. lol
And as you said. No more monthly inconvenience. The bleeding and cramping. Money that would be used on pads or tamps can be saved. I am about to start my monthly now, and here come the cramps. lol
The hot flashes may be a bitch. But I think I hear a nice portable fan may help. And you can ask a doctor, or research online. I don't think site links are allowed. But there's different sites and menopause centers online that have medicines / treatments to look into that can help the time become a bit more manageable.
Good luck. It's never good when some different things set it that can be a whole new adjustment.
