Me and my lover fancy trying out anal...
Now, being a bit cautious, any health tips on before and after anal?
(I know the healthiest route is to not do it at all, but we're quite intrigued and curious...)

we don't use lube at all for anything really. my girlfriend doesnt like it, says it makes everything kinda sticky icky. for anal, we use only natural pussy juice! after fingering her for a few minutes, getting it wet and moving the juices around, just dipped my dick into her wet pussy a few times to get that wet to and then we slipped right in. last night she really enjoyed it, told me she wanted it hard and fast while i was going slow at first.. not normally like her, it usually hurts her a bit.
we even got to the point where she got on her hands and knees doggy style, taking it up the ass for a good 10 minutes. we usually never ever get to that position!
felt pretty good, but sadly, i couldn't cum. it was so late, i slept 3 hours and almost died driving to work a few times O.o who says sex can't be dangerous.. real late at night..

Allow me to second (third? fourth?) this.... while we don't always follow this rule, there have been times I've wished we had.
In my experience, the best way to proceed is to teach the person who will be penetrated how to relax and accept the penetration instead of fighting it. Your sphincter is designed to relax automatically when pressure is applied and when you consciously decide to let it relax. Start with a finger - WELL lubed - and massage while she focuses on the feeling of consciously relaxing. It will be slightly like bearing down to defecate, but if you've cleaned up there shouldn't be too much risk of any unpleasant surprises. You'll feel the difference when she finds that relaxation, and it should be easy to slide a finger in. If you - or her - feel that more "openness" is needed, use that finger to stimulate the inside of the sphincter, and you should get what you need.
Once she's learned to relax properly, and when you use enough lube, it should be a simple and enjoyable process for both of you. Best of luck!
