If you are exclusive with your partner, are on birth control, and have been tested for HIV/STDs (and hypothetically know that the other person isn't cheating on you) is having sex without condoms safe?

You have two extremes on the condom issue- people who are die hard security minded (have to have three forms of barriers against pregnancy and STDS or it is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN), and people who are die hard Hedonists- Give me whatever feels good now, no matter what that means for tommorrow.
Personally I believe that the ability to have no-condom/no-stress sex is part of what makes monogomy such a great thing!!! I am one of the guys who will ALWAYS wear a condom if safety is in question. But when I am with "my girl", as long as I am not getting her pregnant, I am going no-condom if she is in agreement.

Especially depending on what TYPE of birth control you're on.
I had an IUD in before hubby and I started trying to get pregnant, and we went without condoms with no issues.
Condoms do help with messes though(if we had somewhere to go we'd use one just because it was 'neater' and less clean up).

As for me I trust my girlfriend to use the pill responsibly and find sex without condoms to be indescribable.
