I've been watching the Curler's in the Olympics for the past day or two and it's great!! It's the only sport I've ever seen that uses brooms, big stones, and a bullseye...on ice!!
It's like a combination of ostrich racing, shotput, and shuffle board.
If you need something to perk up your day, turn on a Curling match and kick back

By olympic standards I'd say that's pretty old.
Not bashing the elder SFers. Heck I'd be old by porn star standards which averages out at 23 for the females.

They just called a TIMEOUT!!!!!!!!
What in hell's bathroom is that all about??? The sport isn't that strenuous! What do they need a break for? That's like asking for a break to catch your breath during Bingo!

I was going to add the Canadian card in their but I figured all the Canucks would take offense to it and deny it as a Canadian game.
What I want to know is if there is a take-home or street version to this game??

It's a huge piece of granite slid along a strip of ice with the intention of keeping as close to the center of a distanced bullseye as possible without letting your opponect knock you out. Furthermore broom scrubbing is used to make the path in front of the stone smoother in order to prolong the stones travel as much as possible...again, what do I not understand?
So just how popular is curling in the north? Do kids up there have curling practice instead of hockey or soccer practice?

Until I realized you were joking about it's popularity, I thought all Canadians were just clean freaks and cleaning up BEFORE a huge granite stone causes messy ice that would come in the way of playing hockey...they swept it up with the brooms!!!!
Maybe the drunks that invented curling are just misunderstood geniuses???:)
