I can imagine going this way, i.e. having two partners, if and only if my primary relationship was completely unsatisfying in sexual terms, then I would welcome the opportunity to have another relationship where my sexual needs could be fulfilled, but even in this case I guess it would be just a matter of time until I left the first relationship and settled in the new one in case it could be possible.
And I would never be able to put up with the idea of my partner having another man/woman in her life. But it is just me, people are different and I do not pretend to be completely free of jealousy issues, so my perspective is only about my personal confession, not about a general rule or general advice... A strong preference for 100 per cent monogamous girlfriend belongs to one of my incurable "deviations"

It gets complicated (or so I'm told) but the people who do this sort of thing generally enjoy that complication.
