What would make my audio go out after a certain amount of time, every time, no matter what i do, but then be fine after i restart?
It seems to be after a few hours, the audio stops working. In WMP it'll display "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."
No shit right?
It also won't work on any websites or anything. But if i've got a youtube video loaded, it'll replay it over and over but if it try to load another video, it won't have sound. If i leave the already loaded video up, i can play it endlessly w/ sound even though sound isn't working anywhere else.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. No dice.
I guess my sound card is bad? But why would it be fine after restart? I don't get it.
Just curious if anyone else has had this problem or could somehow point me in the right direction, maybe i'm missing something and can fix it myself.
(ETA: I ask because sound is freakin important to me, lol. I listen to music constantly, use my computer for music when i'm cleaning or studying, and i just... simply can't live without music! I am the Lyrical One after all. Restarting becomes a huge hassle, and it always seems to go out at inopportune times. Ugh)
