I'm 36 and considering having "the surgery".
I would look this up on the internet but I have no idea what it's called. Best I know, it's where they clip something inside your nutsack and allows you to shoot blanks. I've just heard some guys at work who have had it done talk about it. Guys in their 30s and 40s who don't want any more kids.
I don't have any kids of my own but I feel like I'm too old to start having kids, plus don't really want any. At this time anyway. My girlfriend doesn't want anymore either.
She's not trying to talk me into it but she's really paranoid about getting pregnant and so I am. I always use a condom but as you know it's not 100% reliable. So we only do it about once every 2 weeks (which ain't enough!) and only when she thinks it's safe even with a condom.
So it's not so much about not wanting to use a condom but the reliablity factor of them.
So I'm just curious if there are any complications associated with this surgery. I have heard you will feel like someone hit you in the balls with a baseball bat for a couple of days. Is it 100% reliable?
I thought just in case I would have some sperm frozen in case we didn't marry. If I found someone else and changed my mind. I don't know if I would have to pay rent on that or not.

It's a simple outpatient procedure where the doctor makes two tiny incisions in your scrotum , clips a section of your vasdefrenes(SP) the tubes connecting your testes to your ureathra . He'll then put surgical clips onto the ends of the remaining "tubes" & put in a few tiny stitches . You'll be sore for a few days afterward . The thing to remember is this ... For up to a month after the procedure your ejaculate will still contain sperm ! Use condoms >;]
