Yeah I also have lucid dreams quite often. Have been having them for as long as I can remember. They can be very mentally and even physically exhausting indeed. No matter if the dream is "positive" or "negative" it`s still so incredible intense that it "drains" me very effectively... I love having them though. Even the "bad" ones are very entertaining. I`ll take a "bad" lucid dream any night over a "good normal" one...

yeah me too. i've always had incredibly vivid dreams and with time, i could almost control it. it's fun, even when it's a scary one. because the whole time, you know it's not real. i have a recurring one where everyone i know turns into murderous monsters and i have to run away from them all. lol. paranoid much?

Hehehe These dreams are often revolving around paranoid themes indeed. Murdering friends and even family is a classic!

I've never experienced this, but here's a good site about lucid dreaming.

I haven't been able to do it much recently. I think the last time I actually set up some things in a room so that I might remember them in the morning. I don't recall, but I believe I observed them sitting right where I left them.
They say that if you can control your dreams, you can be more influential and bold in life. I also was told once, by someone who was heavy into studying Lucid Dreaming, that if you ever dream of a door, try really hard to open it and walk through. Also, if you can look at your hands in your dreams, that also can bring on some changes in "awareness".
It's fascinating stuff.
wow! that's really interesting...did your friend say why open the door or try to look at the hands? once, i was lucid dreaming that i was trapped in a room made entirely out of brick. and every window i opened i saw brick walls. it was terrifying. i usually can fly over oceans and stuff. i've been to france that way.

I haven't ever heard of this. I will need to investigate it.

I often get in from work shattered have my dinner and a cup of tea sitting on my bed and then doze off for 30-45 mins and have vived dreams then.
My worst dreams have left me physically shaken, frightened and scared to go back to sleep incase I go back into the same dream yet the good ones can make me feel great, happy which believe me is no mean feat for me for the first hour after I wake.lol.
The worst ones are so real that I'm not sure if I'm dreaming or not as I seem to go into them the minute I fall asleep and the dreams start with me lying on my bed exactly as I was before I fell asleep. That's usually when I meet the 'devil' that tries to pull me down to hell which just feels like every possible negative emotion you can imagine rolled into one with a healthy dose of pure insanity on top.Of course I'm completely paralysed and have to fight and struggle for my life just to move my wee finger, fortunetly as soon as I do I wake up in a pure panic convinced I couldnt imagine a place as terrible as hell,,that's how bad it feels therefore it must be something coming into my dreams from outside. It's not obviuosly but that's how it feels at 3AM
Light goes on,cup of tea and that's me sitting up till daylight,if it's a workday then that's too bad i go in tired,,if not I'll go back to sleep when the sun's up !!
Those dreams are rare thou, mostly they're good, bizarre or just plain mad but I'd hate not having them.I've found I could control them on occasions and flying was a big part of it but that's not been for a while thou

i was at a caravan park/trailer park with phil mitchell! now for those who have no idea who this is, he is a character out of a uk soap called eastenders, plays quite a hard guy, not someone you mess about with. so anyhow i was having an argument with him (no idea what about) when he hit me, knocking me to the ground. at that point i thought 'hold on this is my dream' so i got up and told it wouldnt be a good idea to do that again, he asked why not. so i picked up a car and threw it and the nearest caravan, i then picked up a tyre and threw it in orbit!
at that point i woke up, but i often have dreams like some involve sex some are like the above.
