I like it because of the weather and if you're not in a shopping mall people are generally cheerier this time of year.

I dunno , it's just all the insincere stuff involved . Ppl that I dont hear from all year long suddenly think I like em , & then they wanna visit me ((sigh)) . It's just not like it was when I was a kid ........ Back then everything was warm & real , we diddnt have much but I'd trade all the new stuff I've got & bought for it to be as it used to be >:

That's a good and very real reason, I love seeing my family whenever I can really right now.. guess that's where our situation differs. I hate when people are false too so i know where you're comin from.

Makes me sick this time of year is supposed to be when we treat each other the best when it is actually when people are more rude on the whole.

but that's just cos I like this time of year, when it's working right. the dark nights, snuggles up in front of the fire, with some warm mulled wine and christmassy music on the radio... smell of goose in the oven and pine needles. How can you dislike this picture

I think Christmas is a nice holiday to get together with family and friends and spend time with them. The commercialism can be rather overbearing though and that's one of the reasons my family didn't really celebrate it I think.

I don't even bother with a christmas tree anymore. It's become a family gathering like any other, Christmas used to be the only family gathering that didn't bore me to death. It was the only only time where I felt close to that bunch of people that I can't relate to and who can't relate to me. And that's gone, so I really don't see the point anymore.
