J. Michael Bailey, the Northwestern University professor at the center of recent controversy over a live sex act in his classroom, apologized Saturday for allowing the demonstration to occur.
“I apologize,” he writes. “As I have noted elsewhere, the demonstration was unplanned and occurred because I made a quick decision to allow it. I should not have done so.”
He said he was surprised by the public outcry over the after-class incident in the Ryan Family Auditorium, where a man used a high-powered sex toy on his girlfriend in front of 100 students.
I WISH THEY HAD CLASSES LIKE THIS WHEN I WENT TO COLLEGE.

I believe the professor hired some exhibitionists to have sex in class. I think they used a "fucking machine" and brought her to orgasm.
that's QUITE a demonstration.

Unplanned? Bullshit. A performance artist couple with their heavy duty sex toys don't just spontaneously show up.
To be fair to him, no one under 18 was allowed to stay, and it was an after class show. The question that comes up for me is where do you draw the line for a human sexuality course? You can't really do full research into that sort of thing without nudity. Would nudity in text books be ok? Or a dvd? What better way to witness the physical responses of human sexuality than that of a live act? More proof that us americans tend to be far too prudish about sexuality.
