I firmly believe that the perceived ‘hurt’ of the religious is nothing more than an indoctrinated smoke screen to censor critique.
Why is it the scientific community are not so aggrieved as to commit murder or claim they are insulted over the latest quantum theory?
If a New York Yankie fan argued that they are the best baseball team in the world and a Cincinnati Red fan disagreed (Because after all belief is subjective), how bizarre would it be if the Yankie fan claimed their feelings were hurt over criticism, derision or a request to prove their belief? Would we laugh and say get over it?
Every corner we turn where god was thought to be, it turns out there is a natural phenomena to explain occurrences. God has now been cleverly placed outside of space and time by the religious so as to remove him from all sight or discovery, leaving the ‘what if’ question hanging as a tool to once and for all push all dissent from the arena.
Religious belief has been forced on others by the sword, by calling for acceptance and claiming their religious sensibilities have been insulted. However if the religious are going to push their beliefs on others either politically, morally, individually, socially or by any other means whatsoever then they should not call foul when they get pushed back.
