Great fun, agreed... I've got one, and my ex, once she got over her initial fear at the appearance of it, quite liked it.
They're far less sharp than you'd perhaps expect, or at least mine is!

As you can imagine, it rather depends on how hard you lean on it!
I've never tried to inflict serious pain with it, by really pressing hard - I prefer to keep it fairly light, in which case it doesn't do any harm.
At this rate, I'll have to find it and do a short vid clip...

Nothing more exciting than my arm I'm afraid...
That was with firm pressure.
Leaves a bit of a mark, but an hour later you can't see it at all.
