If you do nothing else, those things right there will almost guarantee you'll lose weight.
And like Madison says, you gotta exercise! Dieting alone doesn't work. Even if it's just walking around the block, you gotta get out and move!

I went on the South Beach Diet and after just the first few days, I had lost a few lbs. By the time I was finished with the hard-core approach, I had knocked off 20 lbs! Back down to size 32! I found that the foods I thought I'd miss, I didn't miss at all.
I have since re-introduced sugars and some junk food. But my "junk food" these days consists of healthier snacks. Processed meats and store-bought cookies with hydrogenated oil, etc no longer make it into the house!
I workout regularly, as well. Between these two parts of my lifestyle, I have managed to keep the weight off for good it seems. I can't gain weight now if I try!
this is what happened with me... i went to put on one of my jeans and well it didn't fit and i have had enough. Thanks i'm determined now

It sounds wrong but if you dont have fresh water everyday your body holds onto the old crap as it doesnt think it will get a new supply..this is one cause of water in front of the abs no mater what exercise you do.
Try mix up your exercise dont do the same everyday ( you will loose interest)
Definitely have a cheat day or 3 cheat meals they bring your leptin levels back up. leptin starts off high and if you stick to low calorie diets your leptin levels decrease that you need to work even harder to burn fat so defo cheat. try do a five day mix of calories ie. cheat day, low carbs, high carbs ..bah blah take your time and you will find your process.( try not eat sugars and high fats ie.. dont have chips and a dessert ,one or the other, you choose.)You have to trick your body to keep your leptin levels up.
Weigh yourself once a week naked ,preferably in the morning when your empty (no food or drink) do this the same day everweek and at the same time if you can. (this will give you a better understanding of how you are doing as you will weigh more or less at different times of the day. Also try measure body parts , thighs ,chest etc or get someone to help you ..the reason being that you might drop weight very slowly but you will increase muscle so its a winner even if the scales dont say so.
One thing to note is that you cannot target anyone specific body region to get rid of fat ..so dont do situps allday long ..they dont work ,neither do slendertone belts or any other items that say they do.
I know you shouldnt need to say this but i will anyway.
Stop drinking alcohol
stop smoking ( if you do)
As much as possible stay away from soft drinks
I wish you luck ,and dont give up ,, you will feel better in the long run
