Ok, I have a rant. I didn't want to waste space by starting a whole thread in the Lounge about this so I'll post it here.
What is it now-a-days with all these "soft" low-lifes going out and remaking perfectly good songs? I think Britney Spears has done it, Pink did it for that "Chicago" movie. Now I don't have a problem with a group re-making a lame sounding song to spice it up or by taking a good song and making it sound better. Some examples of this would be Disturbed's version of "Shout" and Korn's version of "Brick in the Wall" (the bass sounds way cooler now).
Well, I have a great example of these soft losers taking an awesome song and ruining it. Over the last few weeks, I've heard this group Epiphany Rising or some crap like that, only they remade Queen's classic "Fat Bottomed Girls" which is a great song the way it is. Now everytime I hear it I want to destroy something or hurt someone. It pisses me off to no end, especially since it sounds like some kind of wannabe Dixie Chick/Tatu group singing it and personally, it really makes me want to puke in my hat whenever I hear it.
Has anyone had this misfortune to hear the remake of this song?? What are ya'lls feelings about remakes?
